10th International Workshop

Weighted Automata: Theory and Applications

WATA 2020/2021
April 20–23, 2021, CIRM@Marseille, France

The workshop covers all aspects of weighted automata, ranging from the theory of weighted automata and quantitative logics to applications for real-time systems and natural language processing. The aim is to present tutorials and invited lectures by outstanding scientists in this area. We invite everybody to participate in this workshop without fee and to present their own technical contributions in this area.

News

Because of the Covid-19, WATA will be entirely online, from April 20 to April 23. You may still register yourself, in order to receive the links for the meeting, by following this link.

Call for Papers

There will be a special issue of Information and Computation devoted to the topics of this workshop, edited by Manfred Droste, Paul Gastin, and Benjamin Monmege. Participation in WATA 2020 is encouraged, but is not a prerequisite for a submission. Submissions can be either original research papers or surveys. All submissions will be refereed according to the usual high journal standards. Authors are asked to submit their contribution on the Editorial Manager of Information and Computation, by selecting "VSI: WATA 2020" in the field "Article type". The deadline for submission is June 1, 2021. It has been extended in consideration of the delay in the conference: however, submissions are possible and encouraged much before the deadline since the articles will be published in Information and Computation as soon as they are accepted (and not once all articles of the special issue will be ready). We intend to ensure a quick refereeing process.

Tutorials and Invited Lectures

We are happy to announce the following tutorials and survey lectures, that will be nicely completed with contributed talks.
